Clancy Brothers Music and Arts Festival
May 29 - June 3
The 12th Clancy Brothers Music and Arts Festival is bigger than ever before with more walks and tours, concerts, music on the streets and in the pubs, the famous Art Trail and the popular Riverside Family Day with a free open air concert in Seán Healy Park featuring music by For the Birds, Gael Force 4, and The Backyard Band. With concerts in the theatres, churches and in Ormond Castle by The High Kings, John Spillane, Robbie O’Connell and Rose Clancy, The Clancy Family, Sionnach, The Wood of O and The Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society, the programme is bursting with music.
Look out for ‘The Caravan of Love’, new this year, a Boho-Mobile stage travelling from venue to venue and featuring more than 20 acts, crossing genres, music, spoken word, healing arts and ‘Co-Creating New Music and Art’, curated and hosted by The Wood of O in association with the Art Trail and The Tudor Artisan Hub.
And there’s also lunchtime theatre, youth busking, the Eoghan Power Memorial Ballad Singing Competition, Heritage Walks, Cycling and Kayaking on the Blueway, and Youth and Children’s workshops…something for all the family. So take a spin to Carrick-on-Suir for one of Tipperary’s biggest festivals.
