Debate: Our membership of the EU is our greatest protection from the challenges we face today.
Tipperary County Council has partnered with the North and South Branches of Tipperary Macra Na Feirme for a live debate on the theme of our membership of the EU as Ireland celebrates the 50th anniversary of joining the EU. This will be held on Tuesday May 9th at 8.00pm in Horse and Jockey Hotel. We expect a very exciting debate, that will fully engage us on this very interesting topic, as the two debating teams contest each other’s ideas. The Motion explores the fact that membership of the EU may be our greatest protection from todays challenges. Tipperary Macra na Feirme branches have a very strong tradition in debating and they have held national awards in the skill of debating a number of times in the past. This event is guaranteed to provide great entertainment and will provoke great discussion on the impact our membership of the EU has had.
