Cashel Choral and Dramatic Society's 'Jimmy's Hall'
Cashel Choral and Dramatic Society presents 'Jimmy's Hall', (Based on the film by Ken Loach Paul Lafferty’s script adapted for stage by Graham McLaren) Set in 1930s rural Ireland, Jimmy’s Hall tells the true story of Jimmy Gralton, a man who dares to reopen a community hall where young people gather to dance, sing, and share ideas — much to the fierce condemnation of the local authorities and church. As tensions rise between freedom and control, joy and fear, the hall becomes a symbol of hope, defiance, and the unbreakable spirit of community. Filled with lively music, heartfelt laughter, and powerful drama, our production celebrates not only the conflict at the heart of Jimmy’s story but also the infectious joy of dancing, singing, and banter that brings people together — even in the face of opposition. Tickets are €20 each. Concession tickets for Students & Senior Citizens €15 on Thursday ONLY
