An Garda Síochána in Roscrea, in association with Age Friendly Roscrea, are holding a coffee morning on Monday the 13th May 2024 at 10.30am in aid of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. The event will take place in the Age Friendly Roscrea HQ located at The Courthouse, Gaol Road, Roscrea, E53 TD51. Last year a similar event was held raising over €800 on the day. This was done in tandem with Making Memories Cycle, a cycle which Sergeant Ciarán Ó Ráighne, who is based in Roscrea, completed on the 26th August 2023 when he cycled from Indreabhán in Galway to Dingle in Co. Kerry, a distance of 242km, in one day. A total of €30,625 was raised by Sergeant Ó Ráighne over the course of the year for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Ciarán's mother, Máire, suffers from Dementia and this is a charity that is close to his heart. While there is no cycle taking place this year Age Friendly Roscrea were delighted to get on board again to run this worthwhile event. We hope to see you there on the day!
