Event Description

Finally we’ll all be back in the field after such a long time away, with our community-led sustainability festival celebrating culture, creativity, and climate action. In the inspiring setting of Cloughjordan Ecovillage, the team behind Global Green at the Electric Picnic, Sustainable Ireland Co-operative, and Cloughjordan residents have collaborated with the aim of creating a family-friendly celebration of regenerative culture. Coming back to face-to-face events, we’re all rediscovering the joy of gathering and celebrating together. Let’s also re-imagine how our communities can be vibrant places to live that bring about positive change and are prepared for future challenges. We'll need: collaboration, arts & expression, music & dance, food sovereignty, community resilience, renewable energy, climate justice, traditional crafts & skills, open-source design, circular economy, decentralised economies and governance, meaningful livelihoods…These are some of the Elements of Change. “The world is experiencing a series of shocks and surprise impacts which are enabling us to shift away from the idea of growth to ‘thriving’. Thriving means our wellbeing lies in balance. We know it so well in the level of our body. This is the moment we are going to connect bodily health to planetary health.” - Kate Raworth Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/950412932233877 Ticketing & what to bring: http://www.cultivate.ie/community-resilience/1330-elements-of-change-festival-2022#tickets Voices and vibes to be announced.
