Drawing from decades spent collecting and preserving Ireland’s oral traditions, Irish Legends & Living Stories is a captivating journey through the old tales, strange happenings and enduring legends that have shaped the Irish imagination for generations. From fairy lore and haunted places to unforgettable characters and local traditions, Eddie’s storytelling combines history, humour and mystery in equal measure. A renowned author, broadcaster and lecturer, Eddie has spent over forty years documenting and sharing Ireland’s folklore heritage. His acclaimed works include In Search of Biddy Early, The Devil is an Irishman and Defiant Irish Women, alongside many beloved collections for younger readers. As one of Ireland’s few remaining practising seanchaithe – traditional lore keepers and storytellers – Eddie continues to play a vital role in preserving the country’s rich storytelling tradition.
