On Wednesday 21st December Mary Power Kelly is officially launching her book 'Green Shoes' in Carrick-on-Suir Library at 6.30pm. Award winning feature journalist Kieran Foley will introduce Mary's book and will do a reading, as will Mary. Green Shoes is an account of Mary's boarding school days at the Mercy Convent Secondary School in Carrick-on-Suir between 1965 and 1970. This memoir portrays a long disappeared world, which Mary has vividly brought back to life from her old diaries and scrapbooks of the time. An engaging walk down memory lane is promised. This is a free event and all are welcome.
